'Is/are not working' for broken things
«is/are not working» برای چیزهای خراب

Say 'The heat is not working' — not 'The heat doesn't work now'.
بگو «The heat is not working» — نه «The heat doesn't work now».

'Since' shows when a problem started: 'since last night'.
«Since» نشان می‌دهد مشکل کی شروع شد: «since last night».

Stay polite but clear: 'This is urgent' shows importance without anger.
مودب اما واضح باش: «This is urgent» اهمیت را بدون عصبانیت نشان می‌دهد.

Dari often describes the problem itself ('آب می‌چکد'). English often uses 'there is/are' first: 'There is a leak'.
دری اغلب خود مشکل را توصیف می‌کند («آب می‌چکد»). انگلیسی اغلب اول «there is/are» می‌گوید: «There is a leak».
