Prices in the US are usually written with a dollar sign: $4.99 means 'four dollars and ninety-nine cents'. Tax is often added at the register, so the final price is a little higher.
قیمت‌ها در آمریکا با علامت دالر نوشته می‌شوند: $4.99 یعنی چهار دالر و ۹۹ سنت. مالیات معمولاً در صندوق علاوه می‌شود، پس قیمت نهایی کمی بیشتر است.
'How much' for prices

Dari asks 'این چند است' (this how-much is) — the question word comes in the middle. English starts the question with 'How much'.
