Listen slowly first, then at natural speed.اول آهسته، بعد با سرعت عادی گوش کن.
If you don't understand the doctor, you can say 'Please speak slowly' or 'Can you write it down?' You can also ask for a Dari interpreter — many clinics provide one for free.
اگر سخن داکتر را نفهمیدی، بگو «Please speak slowly» یا «Can you write it down?» می‌توانی ترجمان دری بخواهی — بسیاری کلینیک‌ها رایگان فراهم می‌کنند.
Asking for an appointment: 'Can I …?'
خواستن وقت ملاقات: «Can I …?»

'Can I …?' is a polite way to ask for something: Can I make an appointment?
«Can I …?» یک راه مؤدبانه برای خواستن چیزی است: Can I make an appointment?

'Please' at the start or end makes any sentence more polite.
«Please» در اول یا آخر جمله آن را مؤدبانه‌تر می‌سازد.

'Could you …?' also asks politely, and sounds a little softer.
«Could you …?» هم مؤدبانه می‌پرسد و کمی نرم‌تر است.

Dari often ends the polite request with 'کنید' or a question mark on 'می‌توانم'. English starts the question with 'Can' or 'Could'.
دری اغلب درخواست مؤدبانه را با «کنید» یا سؤال روی «می‌توانم» تمام می‌کند. انگلیسی سؤال را با «Can» یا «Could» شروع می‌کند.

Bring your insurance card and photo ID to every appointment. At the pharmacy, give the prescription paper (or say the doctor's name) and wait 15-30 minutes for the medicine to be ready.
کارت بیمه و کارت هویت را به هر ملاقات با خود بیاور. در دواخانه، ورقهٔ نسخه را بده (یا نام داکتر را بگو) و ۱۵ تا ۳۰ دقیقه برای آماده شدن دوا صبر کن.
Interpreters are free and normal
Clinics in the US and Canada must offer you an interpreter at no cost. Asking for one is not a favour — it is your right, and staff expect it.
