مفعول و کلمات کوچک a، an، the

The object is the thing the action happens to: I open the door. 'The door' is the object.
مفعول چیزی است که کار روی آن انجام می‌شود: I open the door — «the door» مفعول است.

'A' means one of many, not a special one: a doctor.
«A» یعنی یکی از چندتا، نه یک چیز مشخص: a doctor (یک داکتر).
3.
'An' is used before a, e, i, o, u sounds: an apple, an hour.
«An» پیش از صدای a، e، i، o، u می‌آید: an apple.
4.
'The' means the one we both know: the door of this room.
«The» یعنی همان یکی که هر دوی ما می‌شناسیم. دری چنین کلمه‌ای ندارد، پس آسان فراموش می‌شود.

Dari has no word for 'the'. English speakers use it constantly, so listen for it.
