Giving directions with commands
دادن مسیر با جملهٔ امری
- 1.
Directions use the plain verb, with no 'you': 'Turn left', 'Go straight'.
مسیر با فعل ساده و بدون «you» گفته می‌شود: «Turn left»، «Go straight».
- 2.
'At' shows the exact point: 'at the light', 'at the corner'.
«At» نقطهٔ دقیق را نشان می‌دهد: «at the light»، «at the corner».
- 3.
'Next to' and 'across from' show where a place is compared to another.
«Next to» و «across from» جای یک محل را نسبت به محل دیگر نشان می‌دهند.

ترتیب دری: چراغ — سر — چپ — گرد
بانک کنار کلینیک است.
English commands drop 'you': 'Go straight', not 'You go straight'. Dari also drops the pronoun, but the verb ending changes instead.
جملهٔ امری انگلیسی «you» را می‌اندازد: «Go straight». دری هم ضمیر را می‌اندازد، اما پایان فعل تغییر می‌کند.
